Using OutreachCircle at Friendbanking Events

The most common ways to use OutreachCircle for running events include:

• Using affinity texting for event reminders and follow-up thank you messages
• Using rapid onboarding to eliminate sign-up forms
• Using relational organizing to increase attendance

Affinity texting

Enable event team or hosts to send text messages to attendees from their own personal phone number.

• Personal event reminders to VIP guests - make sure critical guests show up
  • Hi, wanted to check in to make sure you are still planning on coming tomorrow. You can text or call me at this number with any questions. 
• Thank you messages to VIP attendees
  • Hi, this is [staff member name] from the [organization name]. Was great seeing you at the event last week. Just wanted to say thanks for joining us. If you ever need to reach me, save this number in your address book. Call or text anytime. 

Rapid Onboarding and Supporter Action Hub

Engage donors during and after fundraising events.

• Ask attendees to register on their mobile phones
• Attendees can self-register using onboarding flyers
• Staff can register attendees using the Recruit button on OutreachCircle
• Encourage attendees to sign in on their mobile phone instead
• Eliminate data entry and problems with bad handwriting

Relational organizing

Make it easy for hosts to invite friends to an upcoming event.

• For electoral events, enable hosts to find and email friends that live in your district
• Load in a target list/voter file
• Create an Email/Text Friends action with voter file matching enabled
• Tell hosts that they can use OutreachCircle to quickly find and email all of their friends that live in the district
• When they log in, there will be a sample message they can use to invite their friends
• Enable hosts to quickly text friends
• Create an Email/Text Friends action with voter file matching disabled
• Staff or hosts can upload a file of their friends with cell phone numbers and text them quickly through OutreachCircle
• Sample message - Hey, this is [staff/host name], I emailed you earlier. Just wanted to reach out and see if you are able to make the event next week. Would love to have you there
